The Croatian National Bank has issued "Queen Jelena the Glorious" gold and silver collector coins as part of the Croatian Rulers series of collector coins with commemorative motifs featuring Queen Jelena the Glorious, who had a significant influence on political, cultural and social developments in the Croatian history and is part of the historical and political heritage of the Republic of Croatia. The gold coins are issued in the 100, 25 and 10 euro denominations and the silver coins are issued in the 6 and 4 euro denominations.
The design of the coins is by the sculptor Nikola Vudrag. The coins will be sold by the Croatian Mint. The total issued quantity of the 100 euro gold coin is limited at 100 pieces, that of the 25 euro gold coin at 300 pieces, and that of the 10 euro gold coin at 1,500 pieces. The total issued quantity of the 6 euro gilded silver coin is limited at 500 pieces and that of the 4 euro silver coin at 2,000 pieces.
The initial selling price for the 100 euro gold coin is expected to range around EUR 4,948.72, that for the 25 euro gold coin around EUR 1,254.33 and that for the 10 euro gold coin around EUR 322.47. The selling price for the 6 euro gilded silver coin and 4 euro silver coin is expected to range around EUR 284.40 and EUR 146.56, VAT included, respectively. The selling price at the time of purchase will depend on the movement in the price of gold and silver in the open market.
The gold coins and the 4 euro silver coin are available for purchase as of 19 March 2026. The 6 euro silver collector coin will be available for purchase as of 2 June 2026. For more information on purchase and order, please visit the website of the Croatian Mint.
